As the longest night of the year arrives, we gather in a sacred, supportive space to honor the turning of the seasons — and the turning within ourselves.

The Winter Solstice invites us into a deep exhale…

A moment to soften, reflect, release, and slowly rise toward the returning light.

This year’s experience blends two powerful practices:

  • JourneyDance® — to move what’s been heavy, reconnect with your body, and open to clarity, warmth, and new energy

  • Yoga Nidra — a guided, restorative rest practice to soothe the nervous system, support healing, and help you receive your next chapter with openness and ease

Together, we’ll move from darkness into light — not by forcing it, but by allowing it.

You’ll be held, witnessed, and guided through a journey of release, renewal, and quiet awakening.

This Solstice gathering is completely free, offered with love and devotion to community, healing, and the power of moving through the seasons together.

What to Expect

JourneyDance®

Move, shake, breathe, and release as you’re guided through a transformative movement journey that honors the stillness of winter and the quiet spark of light beginning to rise within you.

This practice helps you clear what you’ve been carrying and open your body to clarity, warmth, and renewal.

Yoga Nidra

Settle into deep restorative rest as you’re guided through a soothing Yoga Nidra immersion designed to calm your nervous system, reset your energy, and support gentle healing.

This powerful practice invites you to drift into the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep — the place where insight, ease, and inner light can naturally emerge.

Community Connection

We close by gathering in heartfelt community — a space to be witnessed, supported, and held as we honor what’s complete and name what we’re ready to call forward.

You’ll be surrounded by others who are moving through their own transitions, creating a container of warmth, intention, and shared rising.

  • rise into the light with more clarity and ease

Together, we honor the completion of the sun’s cycle and welcome the renewed energy it promises — a beautiful, empowering way to begin 2026 (and leave the weight of 2025 behind).

And yes… this gathering is completely FREE, offered with love and devotion to collective healing.

Details to Note

    • An Open Mind

    • A Space to Move/Dance/Lie Down

    • Internet Access to Connect via Zoom

    • Comfortable Clothes (layers work best)

    • A Lightweight/Flowy Scarf (used in the dance)

    • Water

    • Tissues

    • 2-4 Blankets and/or Yoga Mat

    • Pillows for under your head, knees, etc. (optional)

    • Eye Pillow/Mask (optional)

    • Pen & Paper (or journal) in case you want to write anything down

    • Candles (optional)

    • Headphones/Earbuds (preferred)

  • We’ll begin with a gentle welcome where I’ll introduce myself and share what our journey will look like.

    From there, we’ll move into JourneyDance® — a guided, expressive movement experience to help you release, reconnect, and open to the returning light.

    We’ll then transition into Yoga Nidra, allowing your body and nervous system to drop into deep rest, integration, and renewal.

    Afterward, I’ll open a community share space for anyone who feels called to connect, ask questions, or reflect.

    Please know — this part is completely optional.

    Many people feel sleepy, quiet, or ready for bed after Yoga Nidra, and that is absolutely perfect.

    You get to honor what you need.

    • This event is FREE! A gift from me (Danielle)

    • A Zoom link will be provided after you register.

    • Reminders will be sent the day before and one hour before.

    • This is a sacred and supportive space and a judgment-free zone — come as you are.

    • You’re welcome to have your camera off. All I ask is that you say hello first.

    • I'll offer movement suggestions, but you are free to dance and move as you wish.

  • Yes — absolutely.

    Because this Solstice gathering is my holiday gift to the community, the replay will be available for you to enjoy afterward.

    I always encourage joining live (there’s a special magic we create together in real time), but I also deeply understand schedules, family life, and time zones.

I’m Danielle — your host, JourneyDance® Facilitator, Trauma-Informed Practitioner, and Certified Yoga Nidra Guide.


I support women who have carried stress, trauma, and overwhelm for far too long by offering somatic practices that bring relief, clarity, and emotional unwinding.

My relationship with Yoga Nidra began during a really hard season.

Back in 2017, my wife and I were overwhelmed — juggling life, entrepreneurship, and the kind of internal stress that sneaks up on you until you can’t ignore it anymore.

We went to Kripalu for a weekend retreat, and that’s where we were introduced to Yoga Nidra for the very first time.

It was like nothing we had ever experienced.

For the first time in a long time, my whole system softened. My mind quieted. My body exhaled.

Yoga Nidra became a practice we returned to again and again — a lifeline during times when everything felt heavy or too much.

Years later, as my healing deepened, I knew I wanted to learn how to guide this practice from a trauma-informed lens.

In 2024, when Yoga Farm Ithaca offered a trauma-informed certification, I felt an immediate yes.

With my background in hypnosis and somatic work, it felt like a natural — and deeply meaningful — next step.

I love how restorative Yoga Nidra is, and how gently it supports the nervous system.

JourneyDance® came to me at a time when I was ready for movement, expression, and release.

It cracked me open in ways mindset work alone never could. It helped me feel more free, more confident, and more connected to my truth and my body.

Both practices support healing in their own way:

  • Yoga Nidra brings deep rest and nervous-system repair.

  • JourneyDance® brings release, expression, and emotional transformation.

This combination has supported me many times in life — and I’m honored to share it with you.
