Hello, hello, and welcome to my little corner of the online world.

I’m Danielle, a certified Mindset Coach and JourneyDance™ Facilitator (somatic movement coach), for women in business who are ready for a fun, profound, and holistic approach to achieving mind-body balance.

My Mission — to help you go from stuck to unstoppable so you can live your Superfine Life.

WHO I AM

I’m a mom to 2 wonderful humans (20 and 22), wife to an incredible woman (Canna Coach JB), and doggie mama to Katie and Serena (aka Kiki & Reenie).

The Catskill Mountains in New York State have been my home for the past 32 years. And I hold a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors and the natural beauty that surrounds me.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for 13 years and have worked in marketing for 27 years. In addition to being a mindset and movement coach, I’m a Squarespace website designer, social media/marketing coach, and co-founder of Superfine Social.

For the past 15 years, I’ve embodied a holistic approach to wellness. I have a passion for taking care of my body (the only place I have to live) AND teaching and coaching others who aspire to do the same.

I believe joy is an act of resistance and that when we vibrate higher and find our joy (our flow state), we fill the world with more love, light, and positivity.

This Is My Story

I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for 15 years — it’s what led me to become an entrepreneur.

What started out as health issues became my passion and driving force to awaken and make much-needed changes to what I was putting in and on my body. So, with the support of my wife and kids, we started an organic food business, Natural Contents.

Everything I had learned and embodied, I was teaching and sharing with others. It was a magical experience but overly exhausting and, in the end, not financially viable given the quality of the products we were producing.

And over these 15 years, though I hit a certain level of success with my health and wellness, something was missing…

I was already using the power of clean eating, chemical-free living, alternative medicine, yoga, Pilates, rebounding, meditation, talk therapy, and cannabis. However, there was still something that wasn’t fully healed.

At my core, I knew I wasn’t living my best and superfine life.

Stress, anxiety, overwhelm, worry, and fear were my day-to-day emotions.

Familiar, relentless, endless.

A cycle on repeat, unable to be broken for more than just a few days.

Little did I know there were four missing pieces to my mind-body balance:

  • Working on my mindset (thoughts, behaviors, beliefs, emotions, etc.).

  • Releasing stuck, stored, negative emotions trapped in my body (mostly from childhood trauma).

  • Understanding my relationship to stress (and how to navigate it in a healthy and productive way).

  • Balancing my endocannabinoid system (which helps regulate and balance key bodily functions).

And so my mindset-shifting journey began, and my life is now forever changed.

We can always begin again...

Being an Entrepreneur is Not Easy

Entrepreneurship is not easy — especially during a pandemic. It takes guts and a whole lotta grit to begin with. And with a global state of uncertainty, chaos, and concern, it’s been a whole hell of a lot harder than in previous years.

To be a successful entrepreneur, you must believe in yourself so much that you think failing is impossible. Your faith (in yourself and your business) needs to outweigh your fear. And that, my friend, is easier said than done. Trust me, I know.

But it took me a VERY long time to learn this.

Let’s just say before I did, I shed a lot of tears, had many sleepless nights, and had anxiety through the roof — which subsequently caused health issues, including severe sweating, unconscious nighttime teeth grinding, thyroid and menstrual cycle issues.

My go-to joke, when it was all too hard, “I’m going to jump off the Narrowsburg bridge.”

Even though it was tongue-in-cheek, it was my way of expressing my internal despair.

It wasn’t until I started my mindset work that I realized I needed to change the story I was telling myself on repeat. My bridge joke, my incessant fear about the future, worrying, obsessing — it needed to stop. And I was the only one who could stop it.

It was time for me to take control of my thoughts, actions, and behaviors. It was time for me to get unstuck so I could be what I really wanted to be — unstoppable.

Mindset Is Everything

Mindset really is everything. It’s our thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, emotions, life experiences, values, habits, identity, history, memories, strategies, and so much more — a multi-dimensional element of who we are and how we perceive the world and everything in it.

I found my way to the mindset work first, which is what propelled me on my path to becoming a certified mindset coach.

I needed to dig deep and find better solutions — and I did.

The tools that have been shown/taught to me have been life-altering — because part of becoming certified was embodying the work, we would do with others.

Mindset work cracked me right open, getting to the root of my issues. Exposing how my early childhood trauma still affected my life and, subsequently, my business.

Emotional Patterns are Rooted in Childhood Trauma

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best early childhood and carry my fair share of trauma wounds. And because I grew up in a “don’t talk about it” and “sweep it under the rug” family, I carried deep sadness, shame, and hurt for most of my life.

And while talk therapy helped me unravel my issues, it didn’t stop my extreme fight-or-flight patterns when triggered.

At the time, I didn’t know that all the sad, horrible, and traumatizing things that had ever happened to me (mostly during my early childhood) were trapped inside my cells, my tissue, and my being.

Emotions buried deep, never wanting to be uncovered and processed to keep me “safe.”

I didn’t know that the way our bodies respond to dangerous or frightening situations is called our “startle response.” And, if we experience a situation where it’s not safe (or safe enough) to experience and process our response to this fear or danger, our bodies, and our fascia (the connective tissue in our bodies), hold onto it until the time is safe enough to fully process the response or emotion (which can take years, a lifetime, or not happen at all).

Which then led me further on my healing journey…

 
 

Movement Heals the Soul

Movement truly does heal the soul.

I threw myself into JourneyDance™ (somatic movement) and once again had a life-altering experience.

Trance-like moments that moved me to tears and further cracked me open.

I found my confidence and my voice.

I was more connected to my mind and body than I had ever been my whole life.

I found my medicine.

A fun, healthy, productive way to process and mobilize all of the stuck, stored, old unprocessed stress responses.

It was everything I was looking for and more…

But, in true firstborn, Capricorn, generator mode, I went another step further and found my way to Dr. Scott Lyons, creator of the Somatic Stress Release Practitioner program.

Coming into Relationship with Stress

Understanding my relationship with stress has been a game-changer. It’s helped me understand myself and others on a level I never have.

I learned that stress is not universal — it’s as unique as the person experiencing it.

I had to learn that the more I’m in contact with and in relationship to what’s happening in my body (my emotions – aka my energy in motion), the better I’m equipped to deal with it.

I had to let go of my “sweep everything under the rug,” “don’t talk about it,” shut down, fight-or-flight response.

And I did.

 
 

Unlocking the Endocannabinoid System

Underpinning it all — using the various cannabinoids to enhance and heal my endocannabinoid system.

Following the coaching advice of my wife, Jennifer (Canna Coach JB), I learned that when the endocannabinoid system is out of whack, cannabis can be used intentionally to help bring balance to the body.

It’s been magical and life-altering.

And, no — I’m not talking about “getting high.”

I'm talking about utilizing the biological system we are born with, the system that regulates and controls things like memory, learning, emotions, sleep, pain, inflammation, eating, and various critical bodily functions to address my anxiety, my stress, and regulate my mood.

It's a process of learning and unlearning, allowing me to regulate my emotions from the inside out.

Why I Created Superfine Life

I created Superfine Life because I finally unlocked the key to finding consistent joy — connecting with my true self. My higher self.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, Hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT - aka tapping), JourneyDance™, Somatic Movement, Somatic Stress Release, and various Cannabinoids have profoundly changed my life.

And I want the same for you.

I want YOU to live in a state of JOY, LOVE, and PEACE.

I want to help you find yourself — again — or perhaps for the first time.
