I’m Danielle – your JourneyDance™ Facilitator.


My mission is to help women reconnect with their bodies, release what no longer serves them, and step into their power through somatic movement and embodiment practices.  

For years, I carried the weight of childhood trauma and emotional wounds, not realizing how deeply they influenced my thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and even my business.

I thought it was just stress, anxiety, or overwhelm from life — but I wasn’t connecting the dots to my past.  

Therapy helped me understand my story, but I still felt something was missing — a deeper way to release what was stored in my body.

That’s when I found somatic healing and movement, and everything changed.  

Movement Became My Medicine

When I discovered JourneyDance™, I had life-altering experiences — moments that cracked me open, moved me to tears, and allowed me to process emotions in a way I never had before.  

Through this practice, I:  

  • Broke free from limiting patterns that had held me back for years.

    JourneyDance™, created by Toni Bergins, is a transformational movement practice that blends freestyle and structured somatic movement to help you release stored emotions, shift stagnant energy, and reconnect with your body’s wisdom.

    This isn’t about learning steps or looking a certain way — it’s about feeling.

    It’s a supportive space where you can move without judgment, expectation, or inhibition, allowing emotions to flow and your body to express what words cannot.

    No choreography. No pressure.

    Just deep healing and self-expression.

  • What is Somatic Movement?

    The word "somatic" comes from the Latin word soma, meaning body.

    Somatic movement is a body-based healing modality that allows us to access and process emotions that have been stored in our muscles, fascia, and nervous system.

    We often ask:

    What does my body need right now?

    – What sensations are present?

    — What is ready to be expressed, released, or transformed?

    By moving intentionally and intuitively, we bypass the overthinking mind and access deep healing that talk therapy alone cannot reach.

  • Why is Dance a Healing Modality?

    Dancing is one of the oldest and most natural forms of healing.

    It’s been used across cultures for centuries to release energy, process emotions, and cultivate joy.

    When we dance, we can…

    — Release stuck emotions stored in the body

    — Reduce stress and release endorphins (natural ‘feel-good’ chemicals)

    — Regulate the nervous system and find clarity

    — Foster self-expression, self-empowerment, and deep emotional release

  • Absolutely! No dance experience is needed.

    This is about moving in a way that feels right for you, not about choreography or performance.

  • Yes, you can!

    While your experience will be different, you’ll still enjoy yourself and go on an incredible journey working with parts of your body that are easier to move.

  • An eclectic mix is the best way to describe it — think music that makes you move and feel.

    Plus, I ask you to share some of your favorite songs, which I weave into the playlist.

  • No need, and ideally, you would not. Dancing in socks or barefoot is best.

    That said, if you feel like you need them on, please wear them. You can always take them off.

  • It’s entirely up to you. Some people feel more connected with their camera on, while others prefer to dance in privacy.

    Either way, you’ll be fully supported.

    Typically, I “pin” myself, which means you’ll see me large on your screen (vs. in gallery mode).

  • That’s completely normal! Movement can bring up deep emotions, and this session is a supportive, judgement-free space to allow them to surface and be released.

  • Yes! You’ll receive the full replay, including the guided meditation, so you can return to the experience whenever you need.

    Plus, you get the playlist.

  • While it’s not a replacement for therapy, this is a deeply therapeutic experience that complements talk therapy beautifully.

    It allows you to process emotions somatically — through movement rather than just words.

  • Yes. I believe everyone should have access to healing modalities.
